Salary
McCoy Drilling & Completions | Superior Manufacturing and Hydraulics manufactures and distributes hydraulic power tongs used in work-over and drilling applications on land and offshore rigs.
We are currently seeking a Buyer/Purchaser to work in our Broussard, Louisiana plant.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase and maintain records of all production materials and goods i.e. supplies, equipment
- Negotiate purchase details with suppliers
- Review, evaluate, and confirm purchase order claims and specifications for issuing and awarding bids
- Arrange for disposal of surplus materials
- Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies
- Control purchasing department budget
- Process supplier NCR's
- Analyze market and delivery systems and prepare reports on conditions, raw material costs and material availability
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures
- Partner with Division Leaders to establish shop supplies, frequency and order quantity requirements
- Direct and coordinate activities of personnel
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing/industrial setting
- Post secondary education or equivalent experience
- Excellent computer skills
- Superior verbal communication skills
- Must be a self directed team player
