Position: Logistics Coordinator

McCoy Trailers is a market leader in the design and build of top-quality, long-lasting heavy duty trailers including lowboys, flat decks, oilfield floats, log trailers and specialty custom trailers
We are now recruiting an experienced Logistics Coordinator to work in our Penticton, B.C plant, located in the heart of the Okanagan Valley.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain rate quotes and negotiate freight discounts for Supply Chain
- Responsible for vendor direct shipments to Canadian and U.S. production facilities
- Book transport companies for inbound raw material
- Track and communicate information with the shipping and receiving department
- Complete all export customs documentation
- Confirm billing for accuracy and rate quote compliance
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in Transportation/Logistics management is preferred (P.Log/CITT) or a combination of education and work experience will be considered
- Minimum of three (3) consecutive years in a Logistics role
- Effectively maintain good interpersonal skills while building strong working relationships
- Ability to multi-task, work with diverse projects and processes while managing and maintaining multiple project timelines
- High level of customer service
- Demonstrate initiative
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, MS Project and Outlook
