Job Overview:
The Service Technician, reporting to the Operations Coordinator, will service as the customer contact on specific technical and service related problems. This will include training on maintenance/service of various McCoy products as well as creating check sheets and certification for commissioning of equipment on customer locations.  The position is responsible for maintaining an extremely high level of customer service and professionalism while repairing and maintaining equipment. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Travel to customer sites globally for any installing, assembling, servicing, repairing, or tear down of company equipment
  • Troubleshoot complex hydraulic systems,  PLC operated equipment, and electronic systems
  • Interacting with customers and ensuring that their concerns are appropriately addressed in a professional and courteous manner
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance problems on-site
  • Perform calibrations on most systems while recording and maintaining all calibration and service records
  • Coordinate work scopes and arrange travel to customer sites.
  • Conduct product training to customers and ensure they are properly educated on all McCoy product
  • Build and uphold strong business relationships with existing clients
  • Demonstrate the values of respect, accountability, integrity and agility
  • Complete repairs of all McCoy products and similar competitor products
  • Maintain compliance at all times in line with all McCoy policies, procedures and Standards

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years related land/offshore rig experience
  • Previous drilling or field experience
  • Experience troubleshooting electronics systems
  • Familiarity with McCoy Global products an asset
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Understanding of Q/A with exceptional safety awareness
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills, with the ability to ask probing questions and understand and resolve customer concerns
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally; must have valid driver’s license and passport
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, which includes performing work outdoors in all weather conditions
