What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in PCB design, embedded hardware systems, control system electronics, and embedded firmware development for hardware systems.
- Proficient with EDA tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, or similar).
- Experience working with embedded microcontrollers and peripheral interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).
- Familiarity with wireless communication hardware and integration (BLE, Wi-Fi, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of real-time embedded systems, RTOS or bare-metal programming.
- Solid understanding of hardware integration and circuit-level debugging.
- Experience working with industrial protocols and sensor/control systems.
- Understanding of product safety, EMC/EMI compliance, reliability testing, and best practices for firmware lifecycle management..
What you’ll do:
- Design and develop custom PCBs, including schematic capture, layout, component selection, and integration with embedded systems.
- Apply both analog and digital circuit design principles to meet product requirements for performance, safety, and reliability.
- Design and implement firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers and embedded processors.
- Integrate low-level hardware drivers for peripherals such as ADCs, DACs, PWM, UART, SPI, I2C, etc.
- Develop real-time code for data acquisition, system control, and communication across industrial protocols.
- Ensure hardware and firmware are compliant with industry regulatory standards (EMC, emissions, safety).
- Collaborate with firmware and hardware engineers to support hardware/software integration and optimize embedded system performance.
- Conduct system bring-up, validation testing, and debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, JTAG tools, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Architect scalable hardware systems with attention to wiring, layout, signal integrity, and manufacturability.
- Support wireless and wired communications stacks (BLE, Wi-Fi, RS-232, CAN, etc.).
- Support production and test teams during NPI (New Product Introduction) phases.
- Ensure firmware aligns with industry standards for safety, performance, and emissions compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
