Job Overview:
The Expeditor - Buyer will be scheduling, expediting, and purchasing of materials, supplies and services for on-time delivery of quality goods and services. This position will also be responsible for coordinating outside contracted services like painting, NDE Testing and calibration. What you’ll do:

  • Ensures timely material availability by maintaining movement of materials from suppliers to our docks through proper scheduling of purchases and material delivery.
  • Extracts/generates scheduling and procurement related information from Pegging Report, Part Shortage report or other related reports, and follows – up with stakeholders such as Engineering or Sales as well as suppliers for meeting customer’s delivery date.
  • Work with Master Scheduler or Strategic Sourcing Supervisor to develop and implement Expediting Management Plans for critical procurement items, works, or services.
  • Utilize industry best practices by applying all relevant procedures, tools, and forms in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of expediting.
  • Ensure timely procurement activities from PO placement up to agreed delivery schedule.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and follow – up on third party activities such as painting, and inspection activities; ensuring they are done in close coordination with quality, engineering, and manufacturing functions.
  • Meet forecasted and/or unplanned procurement needs for commodities and/or specific market segments assigned
  • Prepare purchase requisitions, when required, and monitor purchase requisition requests daily through creation to arrival.
  • Approve and issue purchase orders, in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions
  • Order materials and services as per negotiated and appropriately approved purchase orders/requisitions
  • Maintain procurement files and track Purchasing activity and measurements
  • Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods or services with users, vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our Broussard facility. This position is responsible for inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established standards of strength, quality, and endurance. They are also responsible for operating mechanical and electrical test equipment to check parts and material for conformance to standard requirements.  Additionally, will coordinate and execute quality documentation packages required for customer orders in conjunction with requirements for third party witness inspection. The Quality Assurance Technician will report to the Quality Manager or designate.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform dimensional inspections on incoming and in-process parts to confirm conformance to engineering prints.
  • Inspect purchased parts from machining, welding, NDE, heat treating and coating vendors to confirm conformance to engineering prints and company documentation requirements.
  • Ensure FAI and quality checks are completed within 24-48 hours
  • Expedite daily production output by assuring timely flow of all quality control checks and corrections.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering, Purchasing and Production on product quality and inspection results.
  • Effectively communicate and document non-conformances, participate in investigations and implement final disposition decisions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions

  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for new and incoming orders; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Interacts with Manufacturing Operations regarding products, services, lead-times and delivery schedule

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with programming CNC equipment; specifically Mazatrol and G-Code
  • Vocational training or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a large variety of stakeholders both verbally and written
  • Adaptability and flexibility with changing priorities and deadlines while remaining detail orientated
  • Product knowledge and understating of  our how products are used
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Work comfortably in a team environment
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
