Job Overview:
Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, the position is responsible for completing the strain gauge application processes, including preparing the material, applying the gauges, setting and wiring.

What you’ll do:

  • Preparing the surface of the product for gauge application
  • Properly installing gauges, testing and wiring per prints and specifications
  • Ability to review drawings, schematics and test instructions for required assemblies
  • Responsible for production schedule commit dates and exceptions as needed
  • Maintain accurate tool lists and supplies for the work center; 5S Knowledge and demonstration a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve assembly issues as required
  • Strict adherence to Company Safety Policies and regulations

Job Overview:
The Accountant, Plant Operations is responsible for assisting the Controller in a variety of functions related to the manufacturing operations for the US facilities. This position will develop a relationship with plant management and assist the manufacturing operations team with production cost and inventory analysis. Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant will ensure that reports, statements and documentation are complying with internal corporate policy and external regulatory requirements.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and other various ad hoc financial reports, including supporting working papers, documentation, and account reconciliations
  • Analyze and report on key financial metrics including:
    • Product line margins
    • Labor utilization & cost absorption
    • Production inventory usage, demand and excess and obsolete
    • Variable costs including freight, materials and consumables
  • Oversee production job close-out processes
  • Prepare intercompany invoices and miscellaneous billings
  • Assist operations with the annual physical inventory counts and fixed asset verifications
  • Under the guidance of the Controller, compile documents and respond to auditor’s requests for information
  • Monitor labor efficiencies
  • Ensure intercompany AP and AR accounts reconcile at period end
  • Ensure the timely upload of all working papers at month end
  • Live the MCB’s (McCoy Behaviors) supporting a high-performance culture
  • Perform month-end close procedures, including preparation of monthly entries, account reconciliations and working papers with a high degree of accuracy on a timely basis
  • Resolving issues pertaining to internal accounts receivable and providing support and expertise whenever required
  • Interaction with personnel from other functional departments and other third parties to resolve transactional and/or process issues
  • Active participation and collaboration with internal stakeholders for accounts receivable process improvement
  • Proactively support management as well as the objectives and goals of the department

What you’ll bring:

  • University degree and current pursuit of a CPA designation an asset
  • Experience dealing with manufacturing and cost accounting preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of progressive experience in Accounting
  • Proficient with ERP systems, EPICOR experience an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to apply routine accounting concepts and principles
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter, resourceful, process and control oriented

Job Overview:
The Expeditor - Buyer will be scheduling, expediting, and purchasing of materials, supplies and services for on-time delivery of quality goods and services. This position will also be responsible for coordinating outside contracted services like painting, NDE Testing and calibration. The Expeditor - Buyer will prepare purchase orders, maintain lists of preferred suppliers, prepare routine and special reports, obtain quotes and negotiate delivery arrangements.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensures timely material availability by maintaining movement of materials from suppliers to our docks through proper scheduling of purchases and material delivery.
  • Extracts/generates scheduling and procurement related information from Pegging Report, Part Shortage report or other related reports, and follows – up with stakeholders such as Engineering or Sales as well as suppliers for meeting customer’s delivery date.
  • Work with Master Scheduler or Strategic Sourcing Supervisor to develop and implement Expediting Management Plans for critical procurement items, works, or services.
  • Utilize industry best practices by applying all relevant procedures, tools, and forms in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of expediting.
  • Ensure timely procurement activities from PO placement up to agreed delivery schedule.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and follow – up on third party activities such as painting, and inspection activities; ensuring they are done in close coordination with quality, engineering, and manufacturing functions.
  • Meet forecasted and/or unplanned procurement needs for commodities and/or specific market segments assigned
  • Prepare purchase requisitions, when required, and monitor purchase requisition requests daily through creation to arrival.
  • Approve and issue purchase orders, in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions
  • Order materials and services as per negotiated and appropriately approved purchase orders/requisitions
  • Maintain procurement files and track Purchasing activity and measurements
  • Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods or services with users, vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action
  • Plan, develop and buy materials, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost-effective way
  • Maintain appropriate quality standards and specifications
  • Liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure the accurate and timely payment of invoices, as necessary for the business with the supplier
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Purchasing
  • Experience with certified quality systems adhering to certifications like ISO and API
  • Oilfield related experience an asset
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite a must
  • Experience with ERP system a must
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
